six vintage "les arcs" chairs
charlotte perriand
leather and chromed steel

A set of six 1960s leather and chromed tubular steel chairs by Charlotte Perriand. These important chairs were selected by Perriand for the ski resort "Les Arcs".

A world renowed designer, Perriand worked with the legendary Le Corbusier for ten years. Her furniture designs include the Basculant chair and the B306 chaise longue (often wrongly attributed to Le Corbusier). She went on to design her own buildings and furniture, which cemented her reputation as an architect and designer of international importance.

These chairs are in good structural condition, with patina consistent with age. There are a few, barely visible, repairs to the reverse of the leather and some pitting to the chrome.
