A beautiful and versatile 1960s sofa / daybed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Morlgaard for France & Son.

The sculpted teak arms and clean lines show no sign of the transforming daybed mechanism.
The daybed is created by pressing two concealed buttons. Both arms can be lowered to a horizontal position on which the cushions are placed.

They can also be used as side tables.
The teak and cane are in excellent condition, with one or two very minor marks commensurate with age.
The beautiful teak back makes this a perfect free-standing sofa.

Newly-made, hardwearing cream chenille covers can be easily removed for dry-cleaning.

The small brass mechanism buttons can only be seen from the reverse.
All webbing is in excellent condition. The France & Son plaque is affixed to the frame.
