A 1950s "Reclining Chair" by British designer Robin Day for Hille.

One of the leading British luminaries of modernist furniture in the 1950s, the reclining chair was one of Robin Day's most successful designs.

In excellent condition throughout, the Minimalist steel legs support a beautifully angled and very comfortable seat.

The head cushion is adjustable, the distinctive wide armrests providing a platform for books, paperwork or drinks.

Both aesthetically and practically, this chair remains one of the finest achievements of British Mid-Century design.
