An original 1950s ceiling light by by AB Read for Troughton & Young. Designed in 1948, the "Versalite" was first exhibited at the 1951 Festival of Britain. It is an acknowledged design classic, a copy of which is housed at the V&A.

In aluminium and chromed steel, the Versalite shades can be tilted 360 degrees for uplighting or any other configuration.

This light is in excellent vintage condition. With only minor marks in keeping with age, the colours bright, the chrome only slightly aged.
