Depth: 84cm (33 in)

Shade diameter: 41cm (16 in)

An imposing adjustable 1970s "model 4055" floor lamp by Luigi Bandini Buti for Kartell. In green enamelled steel with cream two-tier perspex shade the 4055 is the largest of this important architect's lamp designs.

Designed in 1967, this impressive lamp emits a soft, warm light, diffused by the thick perspex. The shade height can be easily adjusted with a smooth counterweight mechanism.

The condition of this lamp is very good and fully functional, with a few minor marks to the stem and one small dent to the base.

It is switched on via a stylish chromed floor switch.

It was featured this year at "Design Markt" the high profile design show in Ghent, Belgium (see final photo).
